Securing 2 domain names for the price of 1

A few standard certificates have an option which secures the main domain (your-address.com) and subdomain with WWW prefix (www.your-address.com). UC SSL and wildcard SSL secure all subdomains (including WWW).

  • Comodo
    • order certificate for a main domain (e.g. your-address.com),
    • type the same name as a Common Name when generating CSR,
    • domain with WWW prefix (www.your-address.com) will be secured automatically.

    This option applies to selected products.

  • GeoTrust
    • order certificate for a domain with WWW prefix (www.your-address.com),
    • type it in the same format as a Common Name when generating CSR,
    • main domain without WWW prefix (your-address.com) will be secured automatically,
    • notice:this option works only with second level domains, e.g. your-address.com.pl, your-address.com.net. It does not work for your-domain.co.uk and domain.biz.pl etc.

    This option applies to selected products.

  • RapidSSL
    • order certificate for a domain with WWW prefix (www.your-address.com),
    • type it in the same format as a Common Name when generating CSR,
    • main domain without WWW prefix (your-address.com) will be secured automatically,
    • notice: this option works only with second level domains, e.g. your-domain.com, your-domain.net. It does not work for your-domain.co.uk and domain.biz.pl etc.

    This option applies to RapidSSL.

  • DomenySSL

    Order a certificate for a main domain (e.g. your-address.com), type the same name as the Common Name when generating CSR, and the domain with WWW prefix (www.your-address.com) will be secured automatically.This option applies to selected products (standard SSL that secure a single domain name).
